Mesenchymal Stem Cell Report

Research and Markets has just recently published a new report about Mesenchymal stem cells. The title of the report is named "Mesenchymal Stem Cells, Advances & Applications". Mesynchymal stem cells are also known as MSCs. They are multipotent stem cells that have the ability to differentiate into a variety of different cell kinds. MSCs are able to differentiate into myocytes, adipocytes, osteoblasts and chondrocytes. Recently they have been used to create beta-pancreatic islet cells that synthesize insulin. MSCs are of interest to researchers because they may be used to treat a variety of different degenerative and acute disease. MSCs have several advantages over more conventional embryonic stem cells. MSCs do not have any ethical issues associated with them, which makes them ideal for use. They are not taken from embryos, thus they do not affect a potential new born life. MSCs are also what is known as immuno-privileged. Immuno-privileged means that there is less of a risk of a patient rejecting the stem cells or having complications from undergoing a transplant. Autologous MSCs have been used to regenerate a variety of different tissues. These tissues include tendons, bone fractures and cartilage.
